We enjoyed it, it made a change from going to a boot sale on a Sunday!

Yes Mick, that was me ( Mike and Gill) managing to stall the recently acquired E30 when reversing....hey ho.

Look forward to future meets.

Cheers

Mike

Dunno what you're getting at Cal!

By the way I agree with the exhaust, you must have saved many sheep's lives with it.

Alan, we went back through Sandsend and as I was trying to catch up with Cal my lot were quiet. It's nice when the 'cruise control' gets tired!

Anyone see the woman crying outside the pie shop in Helmsley?

Mick

No idea how many, it wasn't meant as a convoy - more as a leasurly drive in your own time. If anyone wanted to stop off anywhere on the way they could. Some nice country roads on the run, nicely thought out by Howard - I'll send you a copy if you want.

ta for the compliment

glad you liked the wheels. enjoyed the day. Drove on all kinds of roads....... i think they were roads?  Pity we didn't see anyone although travelled down the A19 at a sedate pace......According to Mike it was!  (darkhorse that man).  Gave the new suspension a good testing and rattled some village windows in Whitby with the new exhaust...Loud pipes save lives!!!

Well Chris, there was Big Cal, Big Al and Big Mick - you can't get bigger than that.......

Ryhs, I wouldn't let furry animals near Cal's car - he'll eat them alive

Anyone know how many turned up?

We only saw a green E36 compact (Rhys?) and a silver E30 (Mike?) at Bylands, and Howards' car at Whitby.

If you park in the Abbey car park, you can walk down to the front and you comeout next to the chippy you are on about (they have a big banner hung outside at the back). I always go to Hadleys on the corner, but will have to try this one next time

Hi guys and gals,

We got back not too long ago either, but actually managed to get into the Marina Car Park (eventually!).

Gill and I thoroughly enjoyed the day and the chance to finally eat in the Fish Fryer of the Year 2004/5's restaurant was a bonus.

Nice to meet Howard, Rhys, Paul and respective ladies and those whose names I didn't learn this trip.

Many thanks for making us both feel welcome and we look forward to taking part in future meets.

Mike and Gill

Just got back home - parked up at the abbey (car park is 2/4 hours 4/24 hours and was fairly empty - going by past experiences the marine/co-op car parks are always full (hope you all got a space )

Since it wasn't a convoy type outing I made a few diversions - turned off to Sandsend via Lythe.

Had a nice walk along the Abbey side cliff top path, a lot more has eroded away into the sea since the last time I went.

Going home, I took a turning in Sleights and headed towards Egton Bridge and back that way.

Nice to see a few more faces, and next time Howard - I'll wear a name badge

(will post a few piccies when I've re-sized them, took in Whitby and on the way home)
