Angus,
Let me know what sort of events you are wanting to promote and if I can help you by getting the club to take notice then I will. Don't forget though that for the club to give you it's support the event has to be for BMWCC members only. Nick |

Hi, barf.
You were certainly on it all day. Thanks for the kind comments about the car. We enjoyed ourselves hugely but, like you, I found Redgate a challenge to get right. The icing on the cake was the passing 2 CSL's in the wet during the last session I guess the Pilot Cup's ran out of grip. |

hiya lads, i do hope that brian and the boys continue to organise the CSL bdd at donington as it is just fantastic, even when its wet. the CSL day certainly lived upto its name with around 6 m3 CSL's and a lovely original 3.0 ltr CSL. the dry line which appeared just before lunch was a welcome sight and allowed a full throttle attack into craner curves. had the odd butt clenching moment here and there though, especially through starkies in the wet and redgate is still a problem corner for me (any body agree). the sparco buckets along with the suspension tweeks have been a significant success....i am now skint!! its always nice to put a face to a name (hello kevin, lovely car by the way) and looking forward to next years BMWCC BDD calendar. oddly, donington was the first time that i did'nt have tuition at a circuit....yet, its the first bdd ive attended where i hav'nt had a spin!

Will do. We usually do Combe and charge around £100. Loads of CSL's and AMG's.. I didn't forget last time! I tried to get it added to the BMWCC events calendar, but a bit of apathy from the club admin meant it never got posted. It was a good day too! Next time |

I got TMC in the new car, so it gave me a diversion via Dunstable. Probably added a half hour to the journey. Got home about 18:15, left at 15:45 or so. |

Nick, if you want Matt Robison's e-mail let me know. I saw a small acknowledgement only re Croft '05. Simon, thanks - some great pics there. Again, thanks to the organisers. Sylv and I really enjoyed ourselves again - just ran out of brake pads in the afternoon. |

Simon,
Great shots as always, hope you managed to avoid the chaos that is normally called the M1. It added an hour to our trip home. |

The BTCC Masters was a great laugh.
Shame Tim Harvey took Johnny Cecotto off at Redgate, that corner seems to be a jinx for Tim. |

Nick,
I noticed the lack of Croft '04 coverage but hopefully you can turn that to your advantage when it comes to promoting Croft '05. Are you attending Donington? If you are it will be good to see you there. I have been watching the BTCC chaps dragging all the dirt and gravel onto OUR track!!! |

I wasn't.. don't get me wrong the story on Stu's car was very good.. it's just that they promised me a splash on Croft'04. Maybe they thought it wouldnt make good reading. Nick Croft'05 |

Phil
One of the good things about the Club Better Driving Days is that novices such as your goodself are very well looked after. I still remember my first day on track and how relieved I was to discover it isn't a complete free for all but very well controlled. There are rules for overtaking which makes it a coperative activity with the person being overtaken have control. As it is your first time there well be an extended briefing for you and other first timers. There are plenty of instructors to assist you in learning the braking points and correct lines to take. Your exhaust will be fine. Cheers Cheers |

Thanks,
The exhaust is a long life jobbie, but it passes the MOT so I would have thought it's okay. I'll give the club a call to find out about instructors etc as it will be my first trackday in my car (shamefully after 3 years of ownership!). Thanks again, Phil |
