Pricey but heaps of fun and worthy of car mad enthusiasts such as ourselves

Yeah been there about a year ago, best days fun in a car I had in ages. When we were down it was about -5 which give it an extra edge. I actually know the lads that own it ( I went to school down the road in scotstown) so we had a couple of extra runs. I have done mondello which was good but I didnt have as much fun as the rally school day out. Now would this not be a great meet, a visit to rally school ireland ??

It was, www.rallyschoolireland.ie they are based in Monaghan and have a brilliant set-up. There are three 2.1 Mk II Escorts, 2 mad Scoobydoos, a proper Audi Quattro and a Metro 6R4 - Though the new scooby, audi & metro only go out on special occasions.

The track isn't huge but is well laid out for getting the back out..... The instructors are all very good and the owner even better (he takes you out in the scoobies)

Very professional setup, couldn't rate it higher and can't wait to get the pennies together to do it again.....

Will have the car back on friday, can just about survive that long without it. Next time for sure Rich.

I like the sound of that rally school Derek, what did you get to drive as matter of interest?

Sorry I missed it, but not sorry I went to Rally School Ireland instead..... what a blast! Recommend it to anyone that likes a bit of sideways action

Sorry i did'nt get to meet up with you yesterday lads, had a couple of gremlins to sort out so did'nt have the car. Had a look at the pics you posted and must say thats a fine collection of rides. Most probably be working for Galway meet, but if any mini-mini meets are planned before will try to meet with a few of you.

All the best,

P.S. A lad i work with just bought a mint '99 318is with some nice m/sport extras, like 18" mv's. So i am trying to convince him to join aswell, just doing my bit

Richie or Niall, not sure which one of you were telling me about the Meguiars stuff for scratch repair.  What's it called again and if you can tell me again what that place in Walkinstown stocks it.

Forgot to ask one of you also yesterday but had to go, but where is the diagnostic connector on the E46?  Can you reset the service lights like the E39 with the piece of wire across 2 terminals?  I have a friend over here that has one and wants to know.

Cheers.

Tom

Any one meeting up before we head to the meet I suggest the Esso filling station at Rathcoole just under the bridge on the naas road and on your left, before the Poitin Still pub.  Any Takers can PM me and we can arrange a time etc. Maybe around 1.00pm

I was actually getting ahead of myself.  Cork v Wexford not on until Sunday 15th, so I’ll see ye all on Sunday in Newbridge.  What time do you plan on hanging around until?
