Hope the karting was good craic for all those who made it - the thought of missing it only makes working late worse.

Karting was great...As I predicted Barry took first but that was to be expected.Ballast applies next time
Two 25 lap races which I'm sure everyone will agree were fairly action packed with some fairly hairy moments in there for good measure.
I think we should make it a much more regular thing. It made my Monday pass much easier!!!!
Cheers to all who made it and maybe next time we'll have a few more on track.

John,I'm sure the second last place was a result of two dodgy karts and 2 fuel stops. Am I right???

I have to thank my master strategist who came up with a great one stop strategy -

I can't go karting again now for about a month - I'm covered in bruises and cuts, will they ever make a non-fat *******seat?

Did anyone stay out late enough t o have fun in the snow? Came outa Liffey Valley at about 11pm and the big empty carpark was pure white - Traction Control Off I said!!!

I didn't see any snow last night Barry! So are you in the market for new tyres for the Rx8!
You'll need to bring your own padding with you the next time to protect you!!!

@ Barry M3 : RX-8?! Sweet! how are you finding it, Barry? Is the relative lack of torque a dose in everyday driving, how's fuel & oil consumption etc etc

I never put oil or fuel in it at all TJ - Its the auld lads car so I just drive it when M3 is off the road. It does lack a bit of torque  but you just learn to drive it higher in the rev-range which works cause its so smooth.

Oil consumption is higher than regular engines but not a major issue, just a top up every fortnight or so!

The two karts I had were pretty good, the first one a bit better than the second which had a bit of an understeer problem, mikerd4 - it could be the one your talking about

I had that Kart in the second race!!! Turns left easily but required a full turn of the wheel to get it to go right!

one of the karts last time we went would not turn right and could hardly make the turn coming into the starf/finish line.  If you had it then it would have been pointless over 25 laps
