Topic: Shadowline Trim Posted: 07-March-2005 at 03:42 |
Fitted the shadowline trim on the car yesterday with help from Niall (topazman). I think it looks much nicer than the chrome that used to be there.What do you think?
@Niall...thanks for giving up your afternoon to help! It's not a one man job

Kev,I think chrome is an aquired taste. I like the all black look. The chrome was too eye catching for me but different horses. We'll never speak again
@Techno..thanks

Door cars have to come off,Mirrors too.You've to pull off all the rubbers from around the door and rear windows,the upper curved chrome is held on with 15 screws and comes away handy enough.
The front door trim below the window is easily popped up and replaced.
The strip below the back window is trickier.It's held on by two adhesive strips and you've no room to lift it cos of the hinged window.Two people can do this job by getting some string under one end of it and pulling it along as you prise it up gently.
Well worth the work though. I took lots of pics of the joe so I'll be puttin a DIY together if you want it.
