Its very similar to the trim on the 4 cylinders models alright - I think I'll end up buying the matt black in stead of teh gloss one eventually though - half the price, and I think it'll suit mine better!!

Being a winner is a fantasic thing alright, as you obviously know as well Niall!! Won't be there tomorrow though - but will be out at the Texaco to drop off an amp! Probably only fair to allow one or two others to sample the adoration and fame that goes with being a winner..

Doesn't look bad at all Ken but its more like the standard trim that comes on a 4 cylinder e46, maybe it will look better in the flesh (so to speak) are you headin down tomorrow, you know you want to cause "Your A Winner"

Batteries are gone in my digitial camera - so phone camera has to do! Pics are obviously a bit small, but they might give you an idea of how it looks...

Did one side of the car today - have to admit I'm surprised at how decent it looks (I thought it'd look a lot crappier)

The only section that presents difficulty is the curve at the back of the rear window - because it curves back on itself, and is quite wide, I needed to cover it in three sections... looks perfect from a metre or so though.

Am going to do the other side later... will get a photo up in a few minutes

Did that myself on my old E30 - don't want to chance it on the current car. The dechrome tape from the States arrived yesterday, so am going to try that at the weekend - if it doesn't look good I can just take it back off!

Thread from the dead.... (just did a search on the word fo ok - (without the space in the middle) and this came up, looks like I'm not the only one typing profanities on the forum!)

Anyway - just got some tape from the states which is meant to cover up chrome trim - got it cheapish so decided to try it out. Decided to give it a go before I splash out on shadowline - will let you's know how I get on with it.

Although if theres anyone who fancies swapping their black trim for chrome, let me know...

P.S. the shadowline looks fantastic against the Black Richie, but your car is mint anyway. Ditto Topazmans, where I wouldn't mind the chrome so much as the blue lightens its impact. And yer rims are delish too.

2 clean machines - ye should be proud

Im a fan of the black grilles and the carbon aswell, depends entirely on the look you want.  Tehres some class E46's in the uk with black or colour coded grilles

"Once you've had black, you won't go back" they say... and I changed my 518 for shadowline and am deffo a fan since then. But leave the grill chrome. Black grills look good on Audis etc, but the chrome kidneys look good on the Bms imo.

Yep I have it all boxed up and it's ready to fit to another e46.
