Doesnt one of the main men come from Huddersfield Geoff I think. His telephone number has 01484. Sherlock would say this was good detection. Chris And as I said in previous thread I work in Huddersfield, in fact I probably supply you with all your weekly goods.

I work at a well known supermarket but not the dodgy one owned by Ken Morrison. I have an E30 M3 on a H but this lives at home in Harrogate. Chris |

I live in Huddersfield, and in fact we have over 30 members who live within a 10 mile radius. I used to arrange lots of meets at the Pennine Manor where we are having our Annual Dinner in December.(family commitments meen that I will miss it this year.) However, not many people gave any support, so I widened the field to cover the areas that had not had any recent meetings - and got a much better response.
If anyone wants a regular meeting in the area, say on an evening or weekend, all you have to do is let me know where and when and I will publish it and give it Club support. As to Caesar Bob - living in the North West is no excuse. I can sympathise with his predicament, but I will be supporting the North West tomorrow (sorry -later today) at the Dealer Visit at Crewe. Passport to Greater Manchester (or is it Lancashire) is in my car, as I often have to pass through. Feel free to give me a ring on (yes you were correct Falkster) 01484 844 920 or email me on h@635csi.co.uk Howard Walker North East Chairman, Webmaster, BCE Rep, Director and general Club Dogsbody |

I only found out about the BlueBell visit late last week so was unable to attend. If you do organise any meets i shall try to attend, but unfortunately the run up to xmas can get a bit crazy for me. I have attended a few meets organised thro the e30zone and BMWCar forums but unfortuantely the number of ppl who are prepared to turn up is often a bit low but we do seem to have a loyal core goup. Most of these meets have been over towards Warrington and North Wales so far but if we can interest more owners maybe a combined effort would be a success and we could come over towards Yorkshire. |

I think that it is a bit late in the season to organise anything before around February. To tell everyone we need at least a month's notice, in order to get it in either the club magazine or the newsletter, (for those who don't visit the forum or web site often).
How to go about it? Find a pub or hotel with good parking, reasonably priced food and easy to find near a motorway and send me the location and date and I will do the rest. |

Weekly meetings!!
that's a bit optimistic! .. find a pub/venue that suits you, then if you are the only ones there it won't be so bad.. believe me, it is no fun arranging a meeting miles from home and being stood up.. it will only make you bitter and twisted like me. ..you need to stick with it, people will come and it will grow.. just don't get fed up.. perhaps now is the time to start up some meetings again.. seems like there is a bit of interest on these pages. ..when I used to do them, we had no e-mail or forum on tinternet.. the only tool I had at my disposal was an announcement in the club magazine.. which always seemed to arrive too late for the event! Forums and e-mails have worked for trackdays so I see no reason why they shouldn't work fine for meetings.. the other club I support has a regular monthly meeting in a pub on the A64 on the first Tuesday of the month which everyone knows about.. but we always get a lot more come along when an e-mail reminder is sent out the day before. Good luck with the meetings. Nicholas Wright Former NE Chairman and general dogsbody! |

Definitely think it would be better to wait til the new year now. This time of year is a bit hectic for me anyway. I'd always be willing to travel upto an hour or so if a meet was organised and i could make it. Anything over towards Huddersfield and beyond i haven't got many suggestions for venues but i shall try and rustle up interest where i can.

If anybody fancies a trek over to Delamere Forest its looking like there will be a meet on the 21st Dec for a drive and spot of lunch/chats at a pub somewhere. This is still being discussed at the moment so the final details may change. It's mentioned in the E30 Zone forum (http://com2.akheva.com/be30zoneforum.fmeets.t45) and the BMW Car forum (http://http://forum.bmwcarmagazine.com/topic2.asp?TOPIC_ID=16063) if anyone is interested.

It's north Cheshire, near Northwich i think. They were talking about meeting up at Chester Services on the M56 (Jct 14). So that should give you some idea of the general area.
