I have been looking on Ebay for a CD Manual for my E39 year 2002.

There seems to be so many, I just want to be able to remove small bits of trim, remove facias, replace brake disks, things like that.

Any recomendations?

Thanks

The two main catagories you should look for are headed Etk and Tis. The Etk CD is the parts catalogue that gives exploded views of the various parts of the vehicle and also gives the relevant part numbers for ordering purposes.
The Tis CD assists in performing maintenance and repair work by selecting symptoms or graphic symbols to take you to the heart of the problem under investigation.
There are literally dozens of such CDs on Ebay and most going quite cheap.
I have had my CD set for about 5 years now and could not do without them.
It makes the job of the BMW Agent easier when I give them the part number or show them a printout of the particular part I require.
I believe there are other CD/DVDs dealing with electrical troubleshooting, costings, etc.

The ETK is also available online via www.realoem.com/bmw
If buying a CD from ebay or wherever, remember that these are likely to be copied versions of the originals.
Also remember that while they may sound cheap, the postage can be steep. There are loads of them out there for sale so check total prices.
