Yes, because there were never tornadoes and hurricanes before those nasty Americans insisted on burning all that petrol!

Most likley not, especially with books like State of Fear by Michael Crichton saying it's all a load of tosh. Lots of good reference material in the book but as ever data & statistics can be skewed at the whim of the author!

Yes there were.... you just didn't have online on demand high quality data being blasted at you by some many different media sources.

Irregardless of whether the US's levels of CO2 & MO emissions et al are contributing to a climate shift that we or our grandchildren will see they should still be working towards carbon neutral options.

Nicked from elsewhere:

The planet has been changing temperature and climate since it was formed. Freak weather and natural disasters have been with us since history has been recorded. No-one has actually proven that burning carbon fuels causes global warming, and the same sandalistas who say that we're all going to drown in the boiling oceans swollen by the molten polar ice also say that it could cause the planet to get really cold, which would freeze the polar ice again and we'd all be in a frozen desert.

But still the lentilists have a ready made stick with which to beat anyone they don't like.

Anyone who dares to challenge the inevitability of global warming caused by fossil fuel is immediately ostracised and marginalised. The idiots even excommunicated one of their own lentilists because he said that the money spent on implementing the Kyoto Protocol would be better spent on on preparing for the consequences of global warming. He didn't deny or attempt to disprove global warming, he just (rightly) pointed out that Kyoto was an inefficient pork-barrel crock of horse poop.

Climate change is a reality, we're coming out of a ice age and heading back to the planet's normal temperature (which is a lot hotter than now.) But it's got nothing to do with fuel burning and no amount of ANYTHING man can do is going to reverse or slow it down. When we hit the next ice age, then it will chill out again. Bet the sandalistas will be running around blaming the Americans for that too.
