I got stuck behind the guy in the E36 for the best part of a session, and he was almost as bad as the sheep guy...tail was out on almost every single corner, car was all over the place as he tried to recover it, then wouldn't move over to let anyone past. Wasn't surprised in the least bit when he went off...

Which E36 was this? Not a green one I hope..
@ GR-8: Having the 8 out was tres-cool. Looked really smashin' on the track with those massive deep-dish Alpinas under the arches. Not so smashin' when I was pointing the other way and saw you coming - sorry about that. I believe excuse #43 is in order "My tyres were overheating"

TJ - the only way I'd be stuck behind you for a few laps would be if you're towing me... you're more adept at this Mondello lark than me!!
It was a Black Offaly reg 318is that was wrecking my head... maybe his tyres were bald and his mirrors were broken?

Ah I think I saw your nose in my rear view mirrors a couple of times alright!! And it wasn't from passing you!
IanH was another man on a mission. No matter what I did I couldn't stop him from getting car lengths on me per lap (sure what's new). The traction of the 330Ci out of the 3rd last corner in particular was superb, as was it's braking into the 1st bend.

He sure was. I had a couple of good dices with a couple of lads, Ian included and I have to say I wasn't able to keep him at bay. He is some pilot. I did get stuck behind oone fellow who made it hard for me to get by but I got there in the end!

I do agree, the 330 was fast, I was personally impressed with the stability of the car going around the second last corner, much faster than I could do.

Up until last March we had just booked the
national as we were not sure if numbers would be present to pay for the
international track hire.
We figured that they were becomming more popular so last winter/spring
we decided to go for the full monty from then onwards. I figure, that
enough people should be attending to pay for the full circuit so why
not book it. This was also the case for last Sunday.
Next year I will book the international for March and depending on
numbers for that day I will see about booking it again in the autumn.

for almost every session I think we were together on the track and usually narusa and TJ weren't too far either!

we were and I enjoyed our tangles. I even managed to safely get by 4 or 5 cars as well.

Would it be possible to maybe try to organise one BDD in Kirkistown too, maybe with Trackskillz (they are top notch). I don't think it would require more than 20 cars to brake even

I would be on for it (as well as a two dates in Mondello). However,
would you be sure 20 people would head up North? Maybe do it with the
'Norn Iron' lads.

yeah, we (myself, Eamo, Ludo, IanH, KDevitt and a couple of others I can't remember right now ) were always in & around eachother - they were fun sessions trying to match paces and exchange thoughts afterwards.
I think I'd be up for it if Kirkistown was on a Saturday. Tis a long haul from Cork, but I'm keen to try new tracks and challenges. Anglesey is only a quick ferry ride from Dublin too...

I'd be up for Kirkistown too. As T.J. said if it was on a Saturday, its a fair old haul from Cork, especially with a trailer, so work the next day would be horribly painfull. Might as well get as much use as possible out of the track car.
There is another track day on in Mondello at the end of the month if anyone is interested. Am going to enter this again, hopefully it will be the international track..

The nice thing with kirkistown would be that you get the track from 10am to 5pm so Richie would have to come for the BBQ. From dublin it's only a couple of hours drive max.
I'll give a call to the guy from trackskillz to see if it's feasible and how much it would be.

I'd head to Dublin Fri nite, then spin up there & back on Saturday, and head home Sunday. A trackday on the Sabbath 6hrs from home wouldn't be a goer for me I reckon tho.. don't want to be taking days off!

@ T.J., that would prob be the best idea alright. Was absolutely wrecked be the time i got home on Sunday from Mondello. Not sure if i could cope with a few more hours onto that. 15 hrs of driving was enough for me. Some of the lads would prob come up and we could have a bit of an old session in dublin on the saturday night..
