Apologies if this has already been said, but this thread is so damn big, I haven't got time to read it all! from what I have read: Ringing? – go to heathrow (or any major airport) long-stay car park, find a similar car and nab the reg. 2 cars on the system? Nope, not for a while anyway! This still leaves the database security issue wide open. Where do the CIA & FBI (and probably MI5/6) recruit their hackers from? The WWW, and this is because this is where the better ones are found. Also they only have the ‘better’ ones as they can’t catch the best. The system will never be secure. With a good black-hat on your side, you won’t need to clone a car anyway, and you can bet that osama and al-quaeda can buy the very best, so that screws up the terrorist argument too.
