Hows it going all just joined your forum there, Good to see theres still plenty into the 6s. Im from west Ireland originally but have been in Australia the last 13 Months working in the mines. Anyway yesterday i put a deposit on an 87 bronze beige csi 635 with bone leathar and 17" bmw rims. Its 2 owners and appears to be a minter ,Time will tell when i get it delivered.. iv seen pics of most of it and only aparent damage is some scrapes on front splitter. All i plan to do is scrub every inch of this car and get it lowered, The article on de chroming was very interesting im going to price powdercoating later this week.Is it likely all the trim willl get damaged if i take it off the car? Im stil unsure on the chrome! I always wanted one of these after owning a lovely red 325is at home 2 years ago, Reg HUI325i for any that remember it. My Topic question is were can i get some clear front indicators for this car?? iv done a bit of a search but could only come up with a pic of some clear tail indicators. I know its taking from the 80s theme an all that but these are just to big and dated to be orange and its a real contrast to the body colour. its the only fault i have on the apperance. If anyones got a pic of one with clear indicators could they post it here, id like to see the difference.or better stil some for sale. Thanks in advance.

Which part?
Mats Kinnby's Stylingshop in Sweden. But he's out of stock at the moment.
Probably the pic of my car?
There ye go: Visually, they "work" better with some paint shades, but not others..... Edited by Horsetan |

A Mayoman! God I've spent a lot of time in and around Westport. Moran's 1950s/60s time-warp shoe shop in the centre of town - think he's still there, certainly was when I last visited in 2003! Happy memories also of winter evenings walking on the Silver Strand near Louisburgh.
That means he's out of stock. Unfortunately, he's the only one who makes them. Looks like you'll have to wait Edited by Horsetan |

Hows All, Jes small world, Iv done many evenings rallying welded Sierras and SRI nova,s to the death on silver strand in my youth! Oh and some walking on it too.. My home house is actually on the louisburg Road 2.5k outside Westport About 1k before That oul petrol station on the left. Not being biased but Westport and letterkenny are 2 of my favourite Irish towns, Yea oul Domonic Morans is still there id say, more of a tourist attraction than anything else at this stage! Im a far cry from Westport were i am now..Aboriginals sniffing petrol and paint aerosols living under bridges, Nothing but jacked up 4.0 v8 landcruisers in sight, Mac Trucks with 4 tipper Trailers behind, But theres a Bloody macdonalds drive thru. Anyway back to the Topic, ****Been on To RADICAST in sweden and told him of the distinct lack of clear fronts. He reckons he will be able do to them but will initially need an order for at least 10 pairs due to mold costs***, I told him hed get 10 orders easilly. Can we see expressions of interest for anyone looking for e24 clear front repeaters on this topic please... Feel free to post this on the dedicated 6 forum too as from what i can see from postings on various sites, kinnbys are not likely to have these again. Let us know here

I wouldn't go bigger than 17" TBH. The tyre profile would be so low on a 19" you wouldn't be able to take it anywhere rougher than a billiard table. |

Do we have any idea how much these are likely to cost?
I'm interested if they aren't too expensive. |

Mats Kinnby's "PET-G moulded" clear front pair cost 60 Euro when I bought them over five years ago. Radicast's clear REAR pair are currently priced at 99 Euro (plus a further 10 Euro postage). They are moulded from a harder plastic than PET-G. I would expect their proposed fronts to be similarly priced and moulded from the same hard plastic. |

€60 is around £40 in real money. Not too bad. Suppose you'll need the silver bulbs too.

I'd be interested in a set, but I'd like smoked, I know Radicast can do smoked as I've asked them about the rears, but count me in for the fronts, as the tooling is about the form, not the material. |
