ah but you could ask your repairer nicely that since youre putting the work his way can you borrow a car for a couple of days
like "they're really pushing me to get the job done at this other garage, but i know what your standards are like and id prefer to get it done here... only snag is i need a car to run about in while the repair is being done, which theyve promised at the other place... i really want to put the work your way, but i cant afford to be immobile"

Nah - not blaming you. I had the same issue with my 325i - the insurance said take it to their repairer, I argued, and they said if I didn't there would be no car.
6 months later, after I had refused the repair 4 times, it went to be repaired properly at MY repairer, and they paid for my hire-car!
Cost them a bl**dy fortune - and serves them right! ![](smileys/biggrinbounce2.gif)

a loan car aint really needed as ive got another car for running about in ..... my wee mildly tuned Astra
think i'll be phone'n Admiral in the morning and putting it across to them that i'd rather use my local, i might even offer up that i don't need the use a loan car as a sweetner?
local body shop is 750yds from my house, Pollock is about 20mile's away.

Put the car into where you TRUST!
Not where they want - and will make their money!!! ![](smileys/Angry.gif)
