    Posted: 09-March-2006 at 07:11

I have had my X5 4.6is for 3months now, with the electric sports seats and I keep gettindg a really sore neck and shoulder area every time I drive it...even on short journeys. I have tried every setting I can think of on the seats and still can't get comfy.

Is there anything I can do to the seats to help this problem ??

Any help would be greatly appreciated...short of selling the car I don't know what else to do ?

Thanks,

Darren

Hi mate

Just noticed your from Aberdeen

Welcome

What did you drive before the X5?

I have noticed that i get a sore back after driving my Vert with sport seats along distance

I have only had 1 month and every day i drive it i think i am more comfortable in it.

Maybe it just needs time to settle in to your body

BTW Check out the scottish region

Loads of meets happening soon

One in Aberdeenshire on Sunday

Hi Pete,
I had a Carbon Black M3 befor the X5.....found the M3 was great in the summer, but too scary in the winter !!!
The X5 has done 27k miles, so I would have hoped the seat would have softened by now.. I was on another website ( BM3W) where I posted the same comments and it appears I'm not alone on this issue with the Sports Seats ! Do you know of any leather upholsterers in Aberdeen..I think I'll try one and see if they can do anything.

Cheers,
Darren
