Myself and the bro won't be there. The bro has lost his clutch or flywheel and isn't mobile. As a result I have to get tyres for my NCT sorted tomorrow as a priority. have fun though!

OK, all confirmed with mondello... afternoon group has cancelled so they are relying on us all turning up!

We're on the "school" track. As pro-karting is happening on the national.

Its 75 euro per head.

Be there at 8.30am please.

Reckons we'll hit 50-60mph in them 8)

Wet suits? Is it that bad over there? Should I bring a snorkel and diving mask as well? Looking forward to it guys. Should be a laugh. Hope the weather isn't that bad. See you Sunday morning.

forecast:
[remember that Mondello has its own micro-climate!]

Tonight
Further rain and drizzle in the Southwest this evening, spreading countrywide tonight - but without any particularly heavy outbreaks. Winds freshening a little again overnight. Lowest temperatures 10 to 14 C.

Tomorrow
A breezy, blustery day tomorrow, with further showery rain at times but some drier brighter spells as well.

A word of warning for those travelling the M50. Seemingly there is a talivan parked along the roadworks possibly around Ballymount. It seems to park itself amongst the workers vans. Speed limit there is 60cliks!

I must say that I really enjoyed the day and the good sport.  Well done to Alex for organizing it.  The weather was fantastic, the changing conditions right through the morning made it particularly entertaining.

Yes a great days karting, and funny enough I'm glad it rained. Way more fun. I think we will have to try make this a regular thing. Maybe Galway next? Anybody know any other karting tracks around the country?

Thanks to everyone who showed up. (Luke, you missed out big time). The racing was really good and the changing conditions gave an extra element of difficulty. (I'll post some pics and video shortly)

I'm sure KB will put the results up soon.

And speaking of our leader Killian, we were supposed to pay for him. But he got in the door first and paid for himself, and I was going to do a collection in the pub after the karting but only 7 or 8 of us went. So I want EVERY FORUM MEMBER WHO WENT to donate €5 to the site via the "make a donation" button at the top of the page. This will cover the karting. If you don't Killian has agreed to sell your private e-mail addresses to spam and porn sites.
