Anyone using Goodyear Eagle GSD3 F1s needs to read The only ones that are good are the ones made in Germany, China made ones are crap and if you get ones made in Thailand you might as well be driving on marshmellows. |

That's worth knowing. I have some on Mrs D's car. Must take a little look later. They feel fine but then the 318 doesn't exactly have the oomph to need the nth degree of traction!

Bring them back Kin. Go mad. Scream and shout if needs be. If they're made
in China then they should have been a lot cheaper. And I imagine they're for the Chinese or Asian market not Europe and could be grey imports. EDIT: Mine were all made in Deutchland. Yippee. Edited by flyingalexf68 |

No the ones made in China are for the European market as has all the legal requirements. Only difference is compound.

well that's VERY interesting... partic with my initial experiences of the M3 on track with F1s all round (very understeery), then moved front F1s to rear, and P-zeros on front, where I was getting turn-in oversteer @ the VIP day last Jan. Wonder were they german, chinese, taiwanese, or waa. They did last 15k and several trackdays. Edited by T.J. |

I heard about this one a while back so I e-mailed Goodyear - the long and short of it is that the pukka ones should have a yellow dot on the sidewalls to signify that they were made in Europe.

Now you have a genuine(ish) excuse. Turn in oversteer sounds like fun. I was getting barely any understeer on the BDD last October in terrential rain. Simply could not believe the amount of grip. Back would let go fairly easily, but I think that normal. |

era no excuse - just an observation that might have contributed at the time for the way I subsequently drove! Turn-in oversteer on turn... 6 - onto the back 'straight' - scared the be-jesus out of me the first time, I can tell you.

I was planning a set of these as my next purchase as I had heard good things. Better insist on German made upfront so! |
