The North of England Porsche show is on at Raby Castle (West of Darlington & South of Barnard Castle).
I have arranged a parking spot for a few cars next to the Porsche display. If you would like to join BMWClubNE & show your car then please pm me asap in case I need to arrange more space. On the day, when the space is gone, it's gone so don't miss out. The plan is to meet at the Bowburn Services (junction 61 of the A1 on the A688) at 10:00am. We will need to depart by 10:30am latest because we need to be there by 10:45am if we want to get in without paying - nothing like a little incentive! The show opens to the public at 11:00am. Raby Castle has lots of attractions besides the Porsches so bring the family etc. |

We have 8 cars so far.
I believe there are over 100 Porsches turning up so we will be a little outnumbered. |

Some of our BMWs:
Some of the Porsches: Nice Turbo! A proper early 911. My favourite apart from a couple of mid '80's Targas. A flatnose 911. You don't see many of these anymore. They were revving a hot 911 up to impress the crowds. Sounded quite good for an old Beetle engine Don't know which one it was but there were some seriously powerful (and expensive!) models there including some race cars that arrived on their own transporter. Thanks to Nick & the Porsche Club for a spot to park our cars. |

Tomtom wanted to go up the A19 & it did seem to be a bit quieter than the A1.
You didn't spot the stealth sticker on the front screen or the www sticker on the back window??? You missed a good day. Even took the Six on the AM track. |
