End of April would be easier for me too. Heck, I might even be able to get the 6 back on the road by then...

Hi to All

Used to own a BMW M3 evo, did come to one of your meetings, i think it was the Green Man just past Silverstone. But sadly no longer own the car, but i am currently the Regional Organiser for the Vauxhall Sports Car Club for the Northamptonshire region. Saw your post on visiting The Queen Eleanor Public house sometime in April.

We hold our monthly meeting on the 18th of April, 3rd Sunday of every month, the pub is a great location for meets and the landlord is very friendly. We believe that the Northants region of RS owners also have their meetings there. TVR used to meet there but have since changed location, do not know the reason.

If you decide to arrange your meeting for the 18th of April, it would be great to see / chat to another car club, if not, we could hook up sometime in the future, what do you think?

cheers

Dazza

Sounds good to me-I know the Scoobie owners in Northants meet at the Queen Eleanor.

Also, I'm working at setting up an all-ecompassing forum for all car enthusiasts irrespective of make or model owned and hopefully will get cross-marque meets sorted.

BTCC?Hmmmm reserving judgement on that one for the mo.

The scooby lads post their meets up at the sboob forum uk so am trying to migrate them to use my board too (live next week!!!) or I'll suggest something to them so we can get things going.

These meets started in Milton Keynes as there are a couple of us from round there but I'm about half-way between MK and Northampton plus the guys are all keen to drive to meets-we had about 25 cars turn up at a meet in Aylesbury from new E46s to E30 M3s and a trio of Avus blue E36 M3s from orig to Schnitzer modded. I popped down to South Mimms last weekend for an M-power meet where about 40-or so cars turned up. Will let you know the date when sorted.

hi ya mate yes we travel around to other regions just getting northants region back on it's feet, used to turn up to the meets in my M3 and used to be about 5 cars and that included myself,so that was one of the reasons for getting rid of M3 and getting another vauxhall we currently have around 20-25 active members and more and more keep coming so doing something right.Did turn up to one bmw meet at the green man just after silverstone just past the speed camera cannot remember if it was this bmw club.

I know what you mean. Perhaps part of it is that a lot of guys turning up at these meets are M owners and you just don't see that many of 'em (bar th new shape M3s).

As long as a lone M3 aint gonna be out of place I'll try and pop down to the meet and organise our BM do from there, perhaps on same day the following month.

Also, the new board will be live next week so I'll pop your meet up there or you can register and put it up.

No probs, don't have to be a car member to come along. This should be confirmed this week.

Hi mate

The M3 will not be out of place, members are more car enthusiasts than some other clubs, we are a friendly bunch.

Remember in my old M3, i was going down this stretch of road, alongside a new M3, both in low gears, a race just waiting to happen. But due to the road containing the speed cameras that calculate your average speed, all we could was acknowledge each others cars, by galncing and smiling!!!

Do miss the acceleration of the M3, but not the insurance costs. If you don't pop to ours then perhaps I can pop down to your next meet, as long as a vauxhall will not stand out. (lol)

Kevin

I have not spoke to John about the next Aylesbury meet, as he's been busy with the Northampton one.

BUT FEAR NOT!!

It's always in the back of my mind

I guesstimate that it would be arranged for possibly May or June time, May if the demand is there.

I take it you liked the look of The Bugle Horn then? lol

Will keep you posted.

How does that sound John? Would you prefer an MK meet in between? Sorry to butt in mate.

Regards
Mark.

The Bugle Horn was good, if it's late May/early June then I won't be able to make

Kevin-

Dont worry, Im sure something can be arranged to suit everybody. Will start looking at the calender shortly. Alternatively, it could be arranged for July etc. Im easy (No dodgy replies to that one!!! lol)

John-

I reckon we could squeeze a visit to MK in there somewhere (makes us sound like we have a busy schedule). You watch, I bet we sort a date out, only to find I cant make it! lol
Have checked PM and replied, BTW.

Will converse with you all soon re MK and Aylesbury meets.

Cheers
Mark.
