Did anyone else notice the flagrant misuse of the words 'Track Day' in the directors report and financial statement that came through the post today.

As the punishment for this offence is dismissal from the club it now looks like we will have to elect a new board of directors as the chairman himself is guilty of this embarassing faux pas.

On a more positive note it looks like the "Better Driving Days" income exeeded expenditure by £4252 in 2003.

My copy arrived today and it has a line item in the income and cost sections titled "Track Days".

As Nick states it made a profit last year, which is good news.

No fear of that I'm afarid, sorry.
Chaired the North East after Derek retired for a couple of years until I found a sucker I mean volunteer by the name of Walker to take the reins.
Committees and things are not for me, I'm far better qualifed as an independant heckler, duly authorised to point out the errors of others.
..also, being the self appointed Laird o' Croft basking in the limelight of being responsible for the single finest Club event on the calendar it would not be fair on the Croftosi to cast my efforts elsewhere.

.. but thanks for asking!

A minor oversight during the laying out of the accounts reports, for which we apologise.  I will in future ensure that I use the "Ctrl-H" function in MS Word to replace all references to "Track Day" with "Better Driving Day".

If an error like this brings more members to the AGM, then perhaps we should do more Big Smile

Seriously though, we hope to see as many as possible at the AGM, but remember to bring your membership card, as you will not be able to vote without it.

Of course it doesn't..
..I still have to bite my tounge to stop the dreaded TD words coming out.. It is hard sometimes when you belong to other organisations that openly encourage the use of our forbidden phrase.

The AGM is a non-starter for me I'm afraid. Your weekends are my working days, and being self employed means the boss won't let me have time off!

Regards
Nick

Heavens knows where I last put me card... how much for a replacement.. wouldn't like to come down 400 miles and then not be able to vote.
