I need to replace my exhaust system and the last time I look here on the forum, the opinion was that a Miltek centre section, non cat, and OEM rear box was the best setup.
Is this still correct |

I fitted a Supersprint rear box. Doesn't sound too loud. Much cheaper than a OEM one.

Thanks Robert.
I used to find the Supersprint a bit noisy for competition outings. I like to be below 90db or just over. Where is everyone? This forum used to be buzzing.

MillteK centre section with OEM rear box will not work as the Milltek centre goes 2-1 after the downpipe and runs a larger single pipe into the Milltek rear box which has 2 outlet pipes so your OEM rear box will not mate with the Milltek centre as it has 2 inlet pipes.

you can use a Supersprint STREET middle section with the OEM back box.
But it's mild steel only and not louder than stock (tiny bit maybe) A Eisenmann back box is a good choice as well, but pricey. Is 304 Stainless. Why do you need to replace the exhaust system? Cracked? Broken? Edited by UweM3 - 06-September-2012 at 12:31 |

Thanks guys for the information.
Millteks a no then Sporty1. UweM3, the rear muffler has had a split in it for over a year and I keep plugging it. Now I think it's time to spend out as this one has lasted 11 years. The centre section is original and I had the cats removed some years ago. I'm just looking for spares before they all go "no longer available" Kind regards guys |

A complete Milltek system will work, but not a mix and match.
It is as Uwe says above.
