Sorry Pete, if this is a club event I'll have to give it a miss as I'm not a member.

I'm not doing a 250mile round trip if it's just for the launch of another ugly new bmw that I can see in Aberdeen

With the M5 or the BiTurbo, you always find an excuse to take the long way round

Incidentally, £35 in fuel is a lot to pay for a "free breakfast"

Hi Chas

The event is open for everyone to attend regardless of being a member or not (and eat breakfast, pour over the new e92, preferably not at the same time ) but only members can enter the show and shine.

Phoenix will have all the usual facilities available for cleaning the cars etc, it should be a good day. Its outside caterers cooking the breakfast, so you don't need to worry about Pete burning the sausage rolls

Cheers Steve, I understand about the launch being open to everyone but I could see the E92 in Aberdeen or Perth if I was so inclined.

I was at this this event in Kirkcaldy last year and it was a good day out.  I also got involved in the show and shine bit last year despite not being a member.

If non-members are excluded this time round I'd rather not bother.

I've no wish to be churlish - it just doesn't have the same appeal for me once it gets cliquey or political.

It`s certainly not that

It`s a pure case of this being the Region`s Show and Shine event for the Members and the prizes are donated for the Club by Sponsors etc:

See this as another benifate of being a Club Member

I am very disappointed  as i am going to an open track day with sxoc!!! - i can see i am going to have to put my foot down about priorities here! i know i wouldnt do well - but i can only aspire to get my car looking half as good as Petes and Bluebros! - if i went i am sure i would have picked up some hints.  If the track day is cancelled i will be making sure i am there
