No idea whats happening, no mention on other regions about it (afaik).

How about we try to get a 'big' turnout for our region, maybe organise a trip up to Scotland - joint meet, or halfway?

Be a shame to go to waste, since the idea started out so well.

I have never been on a "run".  So count me in, sounds like fun, if it happens!  Big Smile
My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with a girl who saw Ferris pass-out at 31 Flavours last night. I guess it's pretty serious.

Shame the idea of a charity coastal drive fell by the wayside. Niggles was doing quite well with his piece of wire and mapbook.

Oh well, maybe another year when there might be more enthusiasm, perhaps.

Needs to be a heck of alot more enthusiasm before it can be ressurected, Coasting. Several people were all for the idea when it was floated before Christmas, but as with most things, the idea hit the skids and hardly saw daylight again.

In a nutshell, There was a termally ill young lad in Holland who always wanted to go for a ride in a Scooby. His mum contacted the local owners club and they arranged what was one of the biggest ever Scooby meets held. About 100 odd cars turned up at the lad's home and they all went off on a sort of treasure hunt for charity. The lad did get his ride too.

I just thought it would be nice to have all the regions get together and do a full UK and Ireland coast drive for either one charity or a few.

It would be a great way for everyone to meet each other and raise money for charity at the same time.

It would also dispel the myth that BMW drivers are snotty and unpleasant people too.

Niggles started sorting the route in 150 mile segments driven by half a dozen or so cars from that area and getting the dealers involved by supplying fuel etc and ferry firms by asking for free crossings but it all went flat while I was offline earlier this year when I moved. It would take a heck of alot of planning but I think, personally, it would be a very rewarding trip.

Sounds like a sound idea.  If something does get organised, count me in!
