Or a combination of the two - aka a ******!

Yup they think it makes their 'skate' look hard, usually its neddy (chavs) blokes who drive girlie cars i.e. Renault Clios and Fiat Puntos who lets face it need all the help in the world to make them look hard.

Ditch the girlie car first mate, get a proper one!

PS out my way the odd E36 is a culprit of this too!

The islands/roundabouts term always gets met with amusement at IAM meetings.

Its a very regional thing, they are called islands in the English midlands, there are even roadsigns using the term island.

This is getting like the IAM meetings lol, they worry too much about words and forget what they are supposed to be doing !

Best Wishes

Nigel

Vauxhall Nova 1.2 actually, but what's the difference. He also has his seat about as far forward as it would go. His nose was almost touching the windscreen Big Smile

oh no we've opened a new debate on drivers with fog lights on!

in essex where i come from this is a popular pastime regardless of vehicle,if you take a drive to southend on a saturday nite you will witness the escort 1.4L drivers with some halfords extra's stuck on with pritt stick and their fog lights on!

I agree with the realmccoy's quote get a decent car mate!

PS-like the term (chavs) never heard the other one neddy? does this mean im not with it ?

Jamie

Neddy or Ned = Usually a Scottish reference to a male or female who wears a tracksuit (with bottom of trousers tucked into their sports socks) with white trainers, a baseball cap with the peak at 45 deg to their forehead exposing their dodgy hair slicked back with loads of gel, wears burberry, drive Vauxhall Novas, drinks buckfast, carries knives.

Ooh two interesting topics ..... well I shall put my two penny worth in ....Middle Lane Drivers ...I hate them with a passion , they are so inconsiderate poodling along in their own little world without a care fot any driver , it really gets on my nerves .....and the same with people poodling along in the fast lane ....i was on the M1 a while ago on my way to leicester and was doing about 75-80 in the fast lane when I came upon a Passat poodling along , so I waited behind hime (not too close ...yet!!) for him to pull over as the middle lane was not clear ..but no instead he slowed down ......then about 4 cars undertook him but i resisted the urge and gave him a quick flash but not still didn'y move , then another 3 cars undertake me , by this time i was seriously ***** off so i indicated left to undertake him ....and of course what did he do ...put his foot down ....anyway I managed to get passed him as my 525 had a bit more grunt than his 1.8 diesel ...but I just don't understand why ....I find it totally pointless and bad driving ....if you are not overtaking and the lanes are clear then just move over its not hard .............

Foglights as said it seems to be the chavs or rudeboys that seem to feel the need for sidelights and "fogs man" when cruising round with their burberry caps on in their little novas and clios

A mate of mine explained to me why they do this as it looks stupid. Apparently if you have been tagged by the courts it goes round you ankle. They tuck their trousers into their socks to stop it dropping down. Now does this mean that lots of these chavs have been tagged. No, a lot of them do it to make it look like they have Confused. Apparently in the world of chavs it's cool to have been done by the law!!

Thanks Andrewfor the info on neddy's i felt really old not knowing what that was!In essex we call them chavs or rudeboys lol! Just as a bit of info i was told by a younger member of staff at work that if these neddy's have one sock tucked into their jogging bottoms it means they are carrying a weapon!(or is it a sign that they dont know how to dress themselves!

PS thanks for the link to the ned gallery cheered me up no end!

Do you wear a silky tracksuit?
Do you wear white socks?
Do you have a skanky* tash*?
Do you wear excessive amounts of cheap gold jewelry?
Do you wear any form of cap?

* skanky = Irish term for chavish
* tash = chavish moustache similar to one a 14 year old desperatley tries to grow!
