Drove from Northumberland to Heathrow & back, yesterday, in the 318is. Exciting, especially when we set off at 4am! The A1(M) and M1 as far as Leeds were very bad.
The car didn't miss a beat and except for a load of concrete blocks on the M1 at Northampton, we didn't stop. The factory front fogs, with headlights off, were great at night in the driving snow.

I don't know what all the fuss is about. A bit of snow is fun. Makes every trip out an adventure and theres plenty of low speed oversteer to be had

Sounds like a poor excuse to stay off work if you ask me
My girlfriend was in Darlington on Monday and she had no problems!
If I can't make it to work because of the weather I have to put in a Holiday

Craig,
I can always think of good reasons to take sick days, the trouble is when I'm off no one else does my work, so when I return I just have more to do.
There's no snow left here at the moment anyway. East Cleveland's been like a little oasis in the middle of all the snow. To the South, North Yorkshire has had loads and to the North they have had loads, but here what has fallen has melted almost straight away. Listened to all the weather warnings this morning then looked out side and it wasn't even frosty.
I'm hoping we get some snow today so I can get a bit of sideways action on the way home

Despite the lack of snow here it is nice and cold outside. I've been out trying to fix a stupid pump for hours with no success! Anyone know anything about positive displacement pumps?
