WAGS has become a derogatory term used to describe the wives and girlfriends of highly paid celebrity footballers who (the WAGS ) total contribution to society is to use their time spending obscene amounts of money in designer clothes shops etc, getting themselves on the front pages of the press and generally gaining notoriety for being nothing more than a waste of everyones time.

Thats right Steven.. it was only a gentle poke in the ribs, no need to get upset.
Its the 'ladies' forum that amuses me coming as it does from the same establishment that embarassed me about having a ladies prize at my trackday.

You can pick up all sorts of useless information on here 
Its one of those terms created by the tabloid press, a section of the media I don't have a lot of time for  although an old friend of mine now sadly passed away was deputy editor of the Sunday Mirror many years ago when it was produced up here in Manchester. He was the exception to the rule, a gentleman journalist.

Q. Why don't women need a watch?
A. There's a clock on the stove.
Q. Why are women such bad drivers?
A. Because there is no road between the bedroom and the bathroom.(..hope 'er indoors doesn't read this - or she'll be getting my coat for me  )
