If it ain`t broke then don`t try and fix it

It would be better if the space was used better and more traders put there hands in there pockets and paid for space and actually turn up, but i guess at the end of the day they make enough **** online ****, so no need for them to spend money and attend these shows

Simply saying that (From original question) That there is nothing wrong with Gaydon as the venue for this event as it is successfull

But a change i would like to see as a paying punter is the traders

This has been brought up many times in the past, but at the end of the day no one can force then to attend, but it would be nice to see more making the effort

I had planned on keeping my nose out of this (as Im not a club member!)
If the advertisers couldn't be bothered coming then maybe someone in charge should seriously question either the sponsors ability/suitability to become a sponsor or more importantly why they don't come to shows. The idea of a sponsor is someone who for promotional gain gives over money. If they don't want the promotion then why? is it that the advertisers really don't want to go but feel obliged to paying? Do they want to go but feel that their needs aren't being met?
I don't know the answers but someone should!

I meant sponsors as in traders who hand over money for whatever!
Anyhow, Im still confused. Do these companys pay for a stand? If not why not? Surely a deposit or something should be handed over when the stand is booked. If not then why not?
Is the space overpriced? If so why?
Do traders think it is poor value for money? Again, if so why?

Whatever the reason for traders not wanting to turn up, those in charge should know why!

Grand. So why then do they not bother? I don't understand their logic.

Neither can I.

Several traders etc didn't turn up this year including the guy with the mobile rolling road for which I was told there were around 40 bookings. At £25 a time thats a grand. He obviously is making too much money if he can pass that up.

presumably the club office contacted them and asked why they didn't turn up. Have the answers been made public?

It would be nice to know as I nearly booked up for the rolling road as well, but glad I didn't in the end

No, because there is no issue, everything is fine. The club is great and has no problems and isn't the sky a nice shade of pink.

I would like to say that it has outgrown the Heritage museum which would mean that we a massive increase in active members/enthusiasts but the truth is IMO it's still got a way to go.
there have been a couple of things that really ***** me off.
1st was the queueing, better than 2005 but still way off being perfect.
2nd the price of food. we all know that we get ripped off on the price of food at these events but the prices in the museum were ***** ridiculous and what did we have as alternative, 1 burger van and 1 ice cream van with queues as long as the eye could see all day long.
just my tuppence worth
