Issy, As your title on page one says BMWCC Mpower meeting, does this mean priority would be given to car club members?
Just a thought case I had to park in the bus depot next door.

I can definately make this so stick me + 1 (the wife wants to come) down for this.

Will bring the MINI if thats OK, it was purchased from Eastern, along with about my 10 previous cars and is actually in the day before for a service.

Do we have a confirmed meeting time at Eastern yet?

Just to clarify this meet is open to everyone!
I closed the list to cars on the 28th (please refer to my post on page 4) this was because I was unsure if there will be room for all the cars to be parked up on the stand and I was going away for the weekend so would not be able to deal with it till my return home. Also I am unsure what they are planning I thought it best to close the list. However anyone who has added their name after that post I am holding your names on a standby list. I am contacting Greg tonight my email so hopefully I will be able to confirm the numbers/times tomorrow.

Same here, if I cant get on your display stand I won't be upset as I won't be able to stay all day, however I am keen for a tour around the workshops. I did get a tour around their impressive bodyshop at Broxburn as one of my previous cars was in for some paint.

We have to go order a few things from John Lewis, ah married life eh. The joys, so will prob only be able to stay for a couple hours.

Unfortunately I discovered today that Grieg (Mpower boy) has been ill and I believe is still in hospital. Grieg if you see this....from us all, I hope you get well soon and the event will be in good hands with Billy! Thumbs Up

I went into Eastern today and spoke to Billy who has taken over the co-ordination of the event. I am really looking forward to Sunday to what looks like its going to be a great monthly meet.

They are going to open the showroom early exclusively for us. So the event will start at 10am and finish at 2pm. However Billy has said there is no rush for us to leave at this time. That will be up to us.
We agreed that it would be better for everyone to arrive in 2 groups to avoid chaos when parking up the cars.
The Mpower technician will be on site to lead workshop tours which will be done in 4 groups of 5. I am co-ordinating this and if there is more than 20 wanting to do the tour I think the fairest way to is to pick names by way of a lucky dip. This will off course be dependant of number on the day.
There will be goody bags but again they had catered for 25 attending (on my prediction Ouch) so again if there is more than 25 attend the goody bags will be allocated to the driver only and I will do a lucky dip if required.

So the agenda for the day will be as follows....
Can those from the East arrive at Eastern at 10am sharp.
Can those from the West arrive at Eastern at 10.15am.
Bacon rolls and tea/coffee will be available
Workshop tours - 10.30am - 12.30pm
.
Event will finish at 2pm.

Just a few things to note.....
From 12pm the showroom will be open as normal so I have assured them that we will respect this and we will not interfere with their business.......so Gary ....best behaviour!!! LOL
There will be parking set aside for those not on the stand but this area will be out of bounds once the cars are parked and access will only be for removal of the car.
The stand has 18 spaces on it and I want to make best use of these so I need you to let me know ASAP if you intend to leave before 2pm as I will ask you to park in the car park to avoid gaps in the stand. Also let me know if you cannot make the event now. This is IMPORTANT as I am making up a Plan with those on the list so we know what we are doing when we get there.
I will do my best to accommodate everyone so I will say it again......LET ME KNOW IF YOU ARE NOT ABLE TO ATTEND!!!

I will update the list once I have it sorted.

Thats it for now ....give me a shout if you have any questions. Big smile

Bacon rolls.............will there be brown sauce ?

Joke...........well done Issy, fantastic organisation as usual.

May I suggest that we meet where we usually do for F&M just a bit before so we arrive in 2 deffinate blocks, there's also a McD's and a jet wash in the garage for who may require it. Deffinate blocks could be.........staying all day............and not.

Just an ideaSmile

Sorry I should have said the valet bay and valeter will be available for us to use the jet wash if you want.
That sounds like a plan but I am more worried about the fact we have too many cars for the stand (18 spaces). So this need to be sorted before Sunday. I will also be going along to Eastern early to be there before you all arrive so will just let you guys decide what you want to do about meeting up.

Just pick from the list, we'll all be happy with that, there are a few newbies tho. My car will be cleaned as usual anyway. I'll be happy eating bacon LOL

I will be there for 10 sharp. Prob go through in convoy with Paul. My plus 1 (Mrs King) still coming. If it finishes at 2 we will be there for the duration. I have been forewarned by the plus 1 that I am not allowed to buy a new car when there.

Good idea what about a 09:30 meet at the F&M meet point . Then the easties can leave at their time and the westies at our.

I take Eastern is not too far away from there

Its literally 2 mins away Gary

If there's to be a "tombola" about who is to go on the stand, it can be done there and that way when we get there, there is no niosufnoc. LOL

There will be no 'tombola'  or confusion with regards to the stand I am co-ordinating the stand as I mentioned in my earlier post I am doing a stand plan which I will have with me........its all under control
.
The lucky dip will be for the workshop tour and the goody bags only. However following some feedback there may be some changes to this. I need to speak to the committee about it.
