Been looking aroung for a set of ignition leads for my 318is.  The best price I've got was £80 from euro car parts.  I tried GFS but they don't do them anymore, apparently!  I'm sure I got them for £40-£50 last time but don't remember where.  Anyone have any suggestions??

I live in SW London Putney and work in Farnborough Hampshire so anywhere nearby.

Cheers

You'd be better off posting on the 3-Series forum.

To answer your question, I would be very suspicous of suspecting the M42 leads of a fault as they have proven to be very robust from all my experience - actually, other than physical damage (e.g. chaffing), I've never heard of them failing. If you must replace them, then go BMW - they may be expensive but they will last.

I paid about £80 for these from GSF, the previous owner/garage had managed to cut right through the insulation on mine where it goes down into the head. Mine used to a have a mis-fire if it ever got wet...

I do have another set of good 2nd hand leads if you wish to try them...

Someone left a note on my windscreen. It read 'Parking Fine' that was nice

Just like to add, I've also bought lead set from GSF, and they were the made by the same manufacturer as the originals (beru), they even came with the pulse lead and sensor, and the clip to keep all the cables tidy...so I wouldn't put people off GSF/ECP, but check first who manufactures the parts, only things I've had bad experieces with are suspension parts, ARB drop links that lasted 9 months!!
