I have just bought a B9 Alpina car (originally a 528i before Alpina got their hands on it). I was interested in replacing the exhaust to allow more air flow out the engine. Does anybody know of anybody that would supply an off the shelf exhaust that would increase the bhp as much as possible with this change?

Best Regards

John Kyle

John

good to hear that you've bagged a very rare car (have you got more details in the car?) by anychance was it the white one in swansea that was on ebay last week?

Fritz bits in Somerset do a full stainless system for the B9 inc a 6 branch manifold which will improve the BHP substancially 10-15 BHP at least I believe.

BTW i've just taken over the Alpina register from Craig and would love to have your details - you can email me at andy@e28club.com

Yes - it is the car that was on ebay in Swansea (the bloke really, really did not want to sell it). Needs the brakes looking at, have flushed the radiator, changed the coolant and topped up the power steering fluid so far but the car really needs a full service. The car is looking tired in the paint department and could really do with a respray but here is a picture:

You can see a pic at:

still think it looks spot on although it needs a front spoiler - there is a company in essex i think that make rep spoilers for a fraction of the price..

BTW it was truly a bargain..

Hi John,

Welcome to the very exclusive club of E28 Alpina owners!  I have a list of all the E28 Alpinas built by Sytner in Nottingham and will probably be in touch later for some details of yours, if that's okay with you.

Join the www.e28club.com, and click on to E28/535 community to find the forums.  It's a great site with loads of friendly helpful people, and you will find a few more B9 and B10 cars in the gallery as well.  D4BMW is one of the moderators but he seems to have modestly omitted to mention that!

BTW, the eBay advert for your car claims 268bhp, what mods have been done to raise the power from the original 245bhp?

yup i'm a mod on there and a few other forums as well - and i've recently taken over the running of the Alpina regster from Craig Pusey.

But i'm sure the moderators on here wouldn't appreciate me mentioning the other forums too much.  But by all means jkyle69 feel free to join my site and upload some pics of your car to he members gallery.
