I know someone who wants to get one but is on his second M3 in two years and his current one till the end of the year has SMG and is not happy and his 2005 will go back to manual but if the new M3 2006/2007 is SMG and isn't any better he will probably go to another brand it BMW don't offer a manual version.

I know he doesn't know what he wants he went from a nissan micra to a 330ci back to a micra until his M3 came in and the rest is history.

Thats the problem SMG he hates it with a passion manual gearbox until they can develop an SMG that lets you chage gear when YOU want to and not when the car wants to so you can drive like a manual and not an 'auto semi manual'.
