Great link - just what I was about to go hunting for as I my driver's door armrest is vibrating/rattling for some reason over the last few months and I was wondering how easy/difficult it might be to remove and refit it.
I'm sure they must just need to be tightened somewhere cause when I put a bit of weight, such as my arm, on it the vibration disappears! Thank you kindly! |

I've the exact same thing Graham. When you put your arm on it it's gone.Do you have a noisy parcel shelf in the rear?

Yes, sometimes! I wasn't sure if it was just my car with this. It has only developed it this year and it is only on some road surfaces so if I drive from a rough surface onto the M50, for example, it disappears!
But as you say on a rough surface if I put my arm on it it goes. It is mainly at the back of the armrest where my elbow is. I thought the parcel shelf noise may have been an umbrella in the boot rattling but not convinced and figure it is likely the parcel shelf. I'm going to have a good read of the above link where they take the whole door trim off (only need the armrest bit obviously! but it is the same spec with leather armrest). Might PM you after a bit more inspection and job sizing! |
