Hi all,

i want to make my engine look at bit better, is it possible to paint the block?

i was thinking of black & silver.

Any advise will be much appreciated.

Yeah can do as long as you get all the oily mess off it first (careful steam cleaning the best way) hammerite do a series of engine laquers that can be painted straight on to the block, also some manifold paint does make it look alot newer under the bonnet.

To get all the oily mess of, get your self some "Gunk" from Halfords, spray it on then wash it off, this will clear all the crud off and be carefull of getting the electrics too wet.

Thanks for your advice mr  Mo-Fo.

I will go to halfords tonight and get some.

you advise me not to get the electrics too wet, does that mean that it will be o.k if i accidently splashed them or shall i cover them?
