End Of Year Review

Nah I got stuck behind an Astra with no headlights who decided it would be safer to crawl along.I'm convinced he had drink on him too.Anyway,I got past eventually and took the Enfield bypass only to get stuck behind another 30mph idiot.Astra went through Enfield and got ahead again.Eventually got past the Astra and he then used his full beams to light the way ahead.Say no more!

Typically I found a setting on my camera after the mullingar meet that takes great photos in almost dark conditions.Ah well.

Dont mention Broadband to me. I had dealings with eircom yesterday which made my blood boil.It took 5 calls to them to locate my order from 5th November.4 times I was told they didn't have it and the 5th I was told I didn't get it because there are no ports available. BAsically I had to re-order and it's anyones guess when I'll get it.Have to wait for someone to cancel theirs.I told them I wouldn't wait and that I'd go to Esat BT and was told to do that but that Esat go through them.
poor Customer Service.I'm now lookin at Irish Broadband which is wireless.

Listen Rich, you are not alone. I was suppose to have it installed on Monday, spent an hour on the phone to the broadband help today(not so helpfull) then was told i had to ring Dell to check if there was a firewall on Windows XP, spent about two hours talkin to an Indian dude and then back to Eircom and hey presto i'm connected.....three days later

I don't know what to recommend you do, but i have to say it makes a huge difference. At last i have seen your footage from Mondello, excellant work indeed.....was very emotional.....memories

I ended up lying to €ircon to get my home BB. I cantacted the BB support drones about 10 times over late 2002 and early 2003. My line kept failing. When I asked them why I was told to ring repairs. Repairs said it was a BB issue and to contact BB support.

One day I rang up and yet again failed. Hung up and rang straight back and said that I had passed a few weeks prior and that I now wanted to sign up. "OK Mr. Bannon, I'll just test your line..." and a few seconds later then "OK, your line passed..."

I have also been involved in getting 3 new lines set up for BB at work. All of which included about an hours worth of calls to 'customer support'!

€ircon show absolute contempt for all its customers. When they leave for another provider then then begin a campaign of harassment to win them back. One of their winback agents came to my house and deliberatley lied to me about what I would recieve if I returned (which I regretfully did). I was suspicious about the 25% off your bill claim so I got 1901 to confirm it. I eventually got them to admit in writing ( ) that I was 'misled'. However, the letter doesn't explain why 1901 confirmed the agents misleading claims!
