Hi, my recently acquired E34 535i has its date of registration recorded as 28th June 1988 on the V5.  I believe this would mean it was one of the first registered, as I understand the range was launched in June '88.

Anybody else out there with a June '88 car, or were there any that slipped out in May '88?

I'd be interested to know, perhaps we should start a record of who owns what, with mileage so as to see how well the different ranges shape up after the test of time?

I have E34 530i-se..first registered jan 89 build date: oct 88: week 42......and wait for it..yes...only 49k genuine ,on the clock..
