The S54 is very prone to breaking from what I read on american forums.

BMW are trying their best to reduce the occurence of the phenomenom, for exemple they brought the redline down on the new updated software for the E46/Mcoupe.

Well it just goes to show that unless you complain about a problem BMW won't fix it or notify you of the problem and that fact that you can print of the problem on this site means that the dealer cannot tell you that its just all in your mind and if they say they don't know how to fix it you can show them the print out and shove it in their face

Toxic have you got all those keymemory functions installed in your car or did the dealer tell you that it wasn't possible??????

What keymemory functions?  I haven't read the full list yet...must go and do that now.  Need to get off this pc and look at those alloys before the day is gone.

All my key remembers is that it goes in the ignition.

just looked at it there...first one on the list...nobody else gets behind the wheel so it's kinda pointless really.

And anyone that touches my climate control or changes from my Velvet Revolver CD, gets their hand chopped off.

What about the Key Memory settings - Active Door Lock (above 5mph doors lock)and the Selective central locking(drivers door opens first and the rest are selected at the drivers choice)
