I believe good old Santa Clause' outfit was originally Green, before it got re-badged by corporate America?

To join the Victor Meldrew side of the argument, at it's extreme, trick or treat is legalised extortion.

Give us something, or we do something back in revenge..... not a good thing to be teaching our youngsters in my opinion.

YES I AGREE but then my little one is only 3 to her its just fun,she thinks shes getting sweets because she is all dressed up,so if thats good for her its good for me,i suppose i could sit her down and tell her all about its roots, but im sure she will learn all about the evils this world has to offer in time, but for now no thanks. A smile on her face? yes please ever time, if a person can get some good or enjoyment for others  out of what is meant to be bad surely thats not wrong??
