Have an 89 535i, thanks to whatever doofus fitted a cheap alarm/ immobiliser to it, it's now dead as a going concern its in good condition but I am sick of spending my free time trying to sort it.Does anyone know of a truly minter car same age and spec with a big mechanical problem that I can buy in order to make one good car out of two bad ones???? please help, live near Taunton and can probably pick it up with a trailer, saving up for a tank of petrol so cheap as possible please. Not quite right but I have a 93 540i with a dead engine. Body is pretty sound though. Don't know whether it could be converted.
Going to be having some parts off it, but the basics will all be there. I'm in Yeovil btw. steve.dwest@dsl.pipex.com

Steve Hi the car looks really promising, I will try and find out whats involved in swapping engines, is it manual or auto?
