Hi all

My E30 325i Sport has had an M3 leather interior fitted and not very well. The front seats are rocking on the runners and I wanted to know are the runners different in the 2 cars or could I be missing a part. Also just wanted to know what products you would suggest for taking care of the leather as it is starting to become slightly worn.

Cheers

I'm not aware that there is any difference in the fixings for the M3 interior compared to regular seats. The only difference is the stitching patterns on the seats themselves. It's something like the M3 has horizontal stitches while the others are vertical (could be the other way round tho).

There is also the difference between proper Recaro sports seats and the BMW sports seats which were made under licence from Recaro. Genuine Recaros have a wider headrest and tend to be found on earlier cars.

Not sure what the best cleaning products are as i have poverty spec cloth trim.

Not sure about the fixings - but Simon325isport will know as he has M3 trim in his sport...

As for leather care gliptone is second to none mate, my leather is immaculate anyway but it really came up a treat with their cleaner and conditioner.  They also do a scuff repair solution as well...

There is no difference in the fittings between the E30 M3 seats and normal E30 seats, the rocking is probably down to wear in the runners, you can still buy new runners, but I have no idea how much of a job it is to change them though.

I think Simon may be correct about the runners being worn, will have to get them out to see what the problem is as previous owner may have fitted them incorrectly. Will look at www.liquidleather.com to see what they have to offer.

Thanx guys.
