BACK IN MAY AFTER LOOKING AT A SUCCESSION OF THRASHED AND JUNK 325i's I MANAGED TO FIND A VERY GENUINE COUPE 1994 ,,75000 MILES WITH FULL SYNTNER AND LOVETT HISTORY. A GEM IT HAS TURNED OUT TO BE AND HAVE CLOCKED UP 10000 MILES SINCE OF EFFORTLESS MOTORING. RECENTLY FLEW THROUGH AN INSPECTION 2 AT BMW HEREFORD...MY ONLY COMPLAINT IS THAT IT DOES NOT HAVE A LEATHER INTERIOR .CLOTH ONE IN THERE IS IMMACULATE ....NOT EVEN A MARK OR SCUFF....BUT FOR A CAR THAT IS TEN YEARS OLD AND STILL GOES LIKE A STABBED RAT IT IS A DISAPPOINTMENT....HAVE APPROACHED A FEW TRIMMERS AND AM GETTING QUOTES ALONG THE LINES OF £1200-00 TO FIT MATCHING LEATHER INTERIOR , WHICH IS A FAIR CHUNK OF THE CARS VALUE BUT NOT HORRENDOUS FOR SOMETHING SO GOOD...... MY CONCERNS ARE FIRSTLY WILL IT SPOIL A VERY GENUINE VERY SIMPLE CAR ...SECONDLY ARE THERE ANY BUGBEARS TO WATCH OUT FOR IN TERMS OF THE WORK AND DOES ANYONE KNOW OF MAYBE A CHEAPER WAY OF DOING THIS OR INDEPENDENT BMW SPECIALISTS WHO DEAL WITH THIS........AM NOT CONCERNED ABOUT VALUE SO MUCH BUT AS THE OLD SAYING GOES IF IT AINT BROKE DONT FIX IT COMES TO MIND........ANY IDEAS ANYONE

It would work out cheaper to buy a second hand leather interior and fir it yourself. Places like www.fabdirect.com, www.midlandbm.com and www.quarrymotors.co.uk may be able to help. Also they come up on ebay fairly regularly.

Okay.. not sure if you buy Perfance BMW magazine.. but I find that in there a lot of interior specialist advertise.. and I've been quoted £500 - 600 for a leather interior for the E36 Coupe
