After many years of various Bmw,s 316/318/633(very cool car)/518/528(e28s) I have eventually aquired a car i have been coveting for the past 10 Years

The car beleive it or not is a 1987 520lux which was owned by my freinds father who cherished it and kept it fully serviced.

One day i was horrified to find he had traded it in without informing me, even though i asked for first refusal. But can u imagine my surprise when the next owner turned out to be my own DAD!!!!!

Eventualy after 3yrs of ownership and with a 147,000 miles i have aquired the car and now in the process of a restoration(2 wings,n/s wheelarch replacement plus full respray)

The e28 is a MAGNIFICENT car but yet very undervalued.Im no anorak I just like what i like.

So if any other e28 owners want to get in touch please do!

Hello

I own a 1987  528i SE and live in York.  I've only had it a couple of weeks but I'm really enjoying driving it.

I'm wanting a major service done on it. I have the inspection lights on. So I've posted a message asking if anyone knows of a good Specialist garage in North Yorkshire. It starts a bit slowly and sometimes splutters abit if it has been left standing of a few days.

I really like the shape of this model BMW. The older shapes are really nice. I need to get a strange noise(possible fuel pump) looked/listened to as well. And I have a couple of electrical ghosts. Other than that it really goes !

Steven

hi guys.. i've just bought a really nice condition E28 M535i and like you have always loved this shape of 5...

I've only had it a couple of days and plan to bring it back to top condition.. though it's already half way there...

I'm not that technically minded so i'd be interested to hear of any specialists that you can recommend in the Leicester area...

at the minute it needs an old change and a couple of ball joints and bushes... but apart from that all else seems to be more of just a TLC job... it's been well looked after though been standing for the last 6 months...

it was a figure of speech mate... (though on Hindsight i should have worded it better... it is afterall in great condition both body and mechanically..)

you did a lot more to it that i could have managed... and spent a great deal of time and money on it i know...

nothing will please me more see you replace it with another E28 stunner...
