Picking up donor car tomorrow and have the following question - How do you break the stearing lock on the car ? its on at the moment and they have lost the key. PM me with answers, as I'm sure we do not want this to be common knowlege! Geoff

thieves snapped the lock on an old fiesta of mine - I think they just used brute force. However, I think you can remove the steering wheel with the lock still on. |

The easiest thing to do is take of the cowling surrounding the ignition and then take it from there I won't print the rest, any little scumbag knows this process and I know Geoff didn't want this printed but it is no secret, trust me I have had to do this the odd time Topazman Edited by topazman |

No just on the front line of anti-car theft and have seen loads of older cars being done this way to avoid costly damage the other way is to kick or pull the living daylights out of the steering wheel but you could risk breaking the wheel of and land back at square 1 Topazman |

At the moment have a 330ci manual for parts came from a very careful owner but spent too much time on his computer and forgot to look out his window Topazman
