hello all, ive just bought a '94 730 ise and am after a few parts, can anyone tell me where i would be most likely to find some clear front indicators and how much i should be looking to spend on such a thing? also, there is a ticking noise from the engine on idle, im assuming its the tappets? can anyone tell me how easy these are to change and how expensive, being a pikey git, i'll be doing it myself |

you have got I take it, an early e38, so I would try the local dealer for the clear units, but as for price, I don't know. Alternatively you could try good old eBay!
How loud is the ticking, and is the engine a straight 6 or V8? May be a case of adjustments needed or a good service. |

my motor is a late e32 with the straight six engine (m30 i think) i''l give the old girl a decent service and see if that relieves the problem.

You have a couple of options, smoked or white and also crystal clear I have those and like them but they are personal taste.
To get them I used ebay bought them in germany and paid around £25 all in, bought chrome bulbs and bingo. Edited by Del64 |

I would also recommend Eurocarparts http://www.eurocarparts.com/ or BM Town are very good http://www.bmtown.com/ I bought the standard clear ones for my E38 although I must admitt the crystal ones do look the part and a tad more modern. Don't forget you can get the clear side indicators too, and it's worth spending the extra on silvatech bulbs all round.... the yellow ones look ugly. Good luck, let us know how you get on. Cheers
