Hi all, Can anyone tell me how to stop the headlight lighting up when the sidelights and ignition are on.
If the ignition is off only the sidelight work,as soon as you start the car the headlight bulb comes on but only about 8 volts. my car is a 1987 325i sport but has had the later type headlights fitted.my friend owns a 1990 car and his headlight dont do it.if it is possible to stop this please let me now..thanks

On my E36 i hated the colour of the wedge type side lights, when i place the lights on the normal position the main light would be nice and white and the side light really orange, tried various bulbs including LED super white ones but even these looked tacky blue, i've now taken out the bulb completly, but any suggestions would be much appreciated.

This function is called dim dip. All new cars have it. It is to stop people driving around with just the side lights on. I'm surprised the 1990 car doesn't have it too.
