Hi,

I have a 92 E30 320i Convertible that seems to be suffering from flickering lights. Basically when the lights are on there is a discernible bright/not so bright pulsing.  This affects both external and internal lights, and seems to be the cause of several bulb failures I've had lately.

The car runs, starts and charges fine.

I'm thinking this could be a faulty voltage regulator in the alternator, or mabay worn brushes.

Has anyone experienced this before?  Or has anyone any alternative thoughts on what could be causing this?

I also have this problem intermittantly.

I suspect the voltage regulator but haven't got it sorted yet.
