I have seen these matts advertised, the seller says they are brand new and for a E30 M3.  However the seller does not know if they are right hand drive matts of left.  Can anyone help?

looking at the shape of the top right mat (drivers mat) they would be for RHD. The top of the mat is shaped to fit the go faster pedal (top right corner) and the foot rest (top left corner)

If they are for a left hand drive E30, I can not tell you.  If they are for a right hand drive car, I'll let you know when I know.

I would say from the wording of the ad..............

A set of 4 mats in black to fit the BMW E30. The drivers mat has a reinforced heel area and the prestigeous M3 logo is on both front mats.

They are brand new and a must have for the M3 enthusiast.

......... that they are non-genuine aftermarket accessories and are probably for RHD E30.

If still no definite answer tonight I will check out my set tomorrow.

@ Uwe - http://www.bmwcarclubforum.co.uk/forum_posts.asp?TID=9374&am p;KW=mats

Just thinking, I may have been awake after all - the ///M logo surely is for the outside (beside door as it wouldn't really be seen otherwise) and therefore this set is for a RHD car!

Yes Kbannon is awake!

The drivers side mat will not fit in a LHD car because of the shape, for a LHD car the left hand side of the drivers mat should be a straight edge, and the right hand side should be angled.

Same with the passenger mat!

I'm also pretty sure that the dead pedal on a LHD is more defined than on a RHD? You can just about get you foot between the clutch pedal and the tranny tunnel on a RHD, but on a LHD there's loads of room, and the mats have more of a cutout for a LHD.

I think these are a genuine set of E30 M3 mats.

Yes, I know they are in need of a good clean.
