Can you ease up on this one lads...there has been a complaint, and from what I've just read, it has some substance. If someone wants to drive a 4 wheel drive then fine, it isnt a hanging offence yet. |

Stu No offence was intended. It was all meant to be in jest and fun alone. However, yes, it is positively dead in here. You've gone to the effort of getting the forum off the ground yet it appears all the other X3/5 owners are well and truly grounded (no pun intended!). Maybe they're not as enthusiastic about cars overall, maybe they're all ultra-busy, I don't know. There is another forum that has masses of X3/5 activity on it too, so it does surprise me that the CC forums should be so empty.

Only active X forum I know is roadfly, which is very US based, with UK content too hard to search out. Lots of trolls etc. too always looking for windups. FWIW, I didn't take offence (never do really), I'd just rather pop out for a blast and let people see for themselves, rather than think that owning a particular car makes you like this, that or the other. BrynT has also popped out for a couple of blasts with me, so I know there's another happy X3 owner in Yorkshire too! Took the Z3 to Cadwell BDD last year and loved it - absolutely fabulous and easier now they've re-modelled the Gooseneck. Wifey also had a few laps and thoroughly enjoyed it. Here's a few pics from Simon Taylor @ www.phooto.co.uk Edited to say that the pics are from Croft BDD, July 04 Edited by StuB |

It's a Pink Mohecan, stuck on to Sylv's lid (so we don't get them mixed up when on the bike/TD's).

I'm tempted to buy an X to inject a bit of life in here! someone else needs to buy too though so that I've got someone to talk to and swap recipies, nail tips and talk about eastenders and posh spices norks etc. Edited by sleeper |

OK you guys, just ordered an X5, am 51 and female and not doing my nails or hair. Our sons are all growed up so havn't done the school run for many a year. Made them walk anyway. This is my first BM, except for our Mini. We wanted somethng high up for our trips across Europe. One son in Germany you see and we like touring anyway.
We are getting the 3.0 TD, love the torque. Couldn't get one in pink, ******, looks like green then. Anyway pink would clash with our red Mini. Time to do my nails now. Welcome to the forum, and hopefully the club, please watch the language, we are a tad tight on it in here. Edited by Nigel |

Sorry about the language guys. didn't think the b word counted. By the way there are a lot of mails about X5's on the BMW mag forum. Lots of info about the extras to have fitted, or not. Have to wait until December now though. My surname isn't Graffe, unfortunately, I'm going to have to mortgage the house and dogs for this. Yes a poor BMW owner (to be)

December? Wow, well at least it'll be an appropriate time of year perhaps (although you could probably do with it right now!). Don't worry about not being Steffi Graf. My mistress Anna Sharapova wouldn't approve of me talking to someone who has won more Grand Slams than her anyway... |
