...and where were the gritters?

On the road of course, but about 6 hours too late.

Sandy Lane in Gosforth was absolutely awful with traffic stacked back as Mrs Corsa Driver had obviously taken an hour to navigate a 100 yard stretch earlier in the morning.

The slip road from Gosforth Park up to the A1 had more black ice on it than a poly bag full of water left in the Artic for a week.  DSC light flashing on and off, 20-30 degree rear end out, and the guy in the Golf by the side of me never flinched once (lie!).

It's March for god's sake, go away!!!!

Well I made the mistake of taking the route through the housing estate this morning. Ended up sliding down a road totally out of control towards a T junction with the main road. ABS was going mad but doing no good. Finally stopped by steering towards the curb with about 2 ft to spare. A real bum clenching moment! Big Smile

Well there was load at home, about 6 inches but when I got to work there's only about 1 inch and everyone is in. To be honest though I don't think some of them go home!! Big Smile

Bloody snow! Go away!!

It was ok to start with, making for a bit of fun with some nice low speed oversteer. However I've been trying to fit an amplifier for weeks now and everytime I get the chance it starts to snow!!!. As soon as I got up it started and we have about an inch now.Angry
