E23 enthusiasts/ spotters should also note that there is a very similar one which is often parked in the London Taxi Drivers' base at Royal Oak, near Paddington. It's also on an "X"-plate and seems very well cared-for.

If I get an excuse to go down there, I will try and get some digipics.

Mark, how was the Kent meet? I had hoped to be there, but was at a memorial service.

Are you coming to the BMWCC meet/display south of Maidstone in July? I hope to be there, it would be good to have a mk1 and (my) mk2 e23 on display.

Mark,

the Red Baron looks really good. well done. its looks like you've been polishing and cleaning the Baron, a real labour of love.

eta, the kent meet was good  my first meet. nice people BMW oners. I would like to show mine  if pos, what is the date  of th bmecc  meet/display would be great to get to or more e23's together. Thanks Philip,  Its hard werk cleaning and polashing the Baron and the frount grils can be a pig but werth it, Hope I can get the back-end sorted for the bmecc meet/display new boot spoyler is £130 from BMW so geting one. As for the gear box, it is werking as it should ad pulls hard in all gears. 300 miles this week. So maybe it was down to lack of use.  we should get a gathering of e23's meet.....and e28's Doive

At Maidstone? I guess that depends on whether it's snowing or not
