For this, you really need to get talking to a certain Mr. Ross Harris. He just happens to have considerable experience in the refurbishment of a "Highline", having spent....errm.... twenty grand.....[/QUOTE]

So What . I love 6 series , so what has it got to do with anybody what I have spent . We need more people to spend as much as posible to keep this very special car on the road , for years to come.

(Be quick Ivan!)

Despite the high(ish) mileage, it's got a good history and has had the
body done. Just needs a few jobs so it could be a good project for
someone...

that shine is yards deep.

Horsetan is correct - Meguiars it is.

I used the 3 step Crystal system,  deep clean, polish then the wax to finish.

Since the photo was taken I've had some attention to the wings + a few stone chips sorted out by a great little bodyshop called Seymours Coachworks (0191 2373222) who also gave the bonnet & boot a light machine polish to remove some hazing.  Red is very prone to fading.

Don't know if they still have them but B & Q had some electric polishers for £15.  Saves the elbows!

This one just sold for £1900 + premium.  Not a very good photo, but looks straight.

Steve.

Seems good value and it's a 'H' plate so very late registration.

Lachs Silver with black leather is a nice combination IMO

Does anyone know how many Highlines had 'H' plates?

Bodywork restored to "as new", but with a rust flaw after just three years?
