http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1& ;item=4533612324&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT Black 735 executive in bromley appears to have sold for £350 to the fluffy hamster family. plenty of room for hamsters in an E23. AG lets them nest in his engine bay. looks a right bargain for someone. lucky little hamsters. |

you can get replacement arch repair sections, but front wings? You may be able to buy a good used set, as they just unbolt, but finding a set will be the hardest part. Bibre Glass will do the job, but how well they fit is anybodies guess. At least you'll be able to sand parts off if it fouls the bodywork.

Years ago ECP sold cheap pattern front wings and rear arches for E23's. I bought them for my 728i sharknose VRK 43X R.I.P. the front wings fitted OK as they are fairly simple in shape. the rear arches need careful fitting to make them look original. The bloke who fitted the arches for me botched it badly and I regretted spending all that dosh getting it done. he really botched the paintwork, I had to have it re-done by a proper spray shop. paying twice for the same job in effect. let us know if ECP still stock E23 panels. I reckon they stopped stocking E23 panels about 10 years ago but who knows? if not ECP try other BMW stockists. then try large trade factors who can order panels from the manufacturers for you. someone must still make or sell E23 repair panels.

Mmmmmmmmm..... look at all that varnished Formica.... ...and like all BMWs of a certain age, the service indicator is showing "yellow", and the fuel tank is hovering on "reserve"...... Edited by Horsetan |

So, what's wrong with getting wings from BMW? An o/s cost me about £140 and fits perfectly. Good gauge steel too. What's the point in saving a few pounds when you are going to, or having it done, the expense of fitting and painting?

you forgot to mention Mull of Kintyre, The Frog Chorus and other "classics" Mr McCartney has inflicted on the public over the years. |
